At The Raji Project, we believe in giving back to the community. That why we have partnered with various local and global Non Profit Organizations to make a positive impact. Through volunteering and leveraging the network of our partners, we aim to reach a wider audience and make a difference in the world.
Stepping Stones Museum for Children

The mission of Stepping Stones Museum for Children is to broaden and enrich the educational opportunities for children ages ten and under and enhance their understanding of the world. The museum seeks to create an environment that inspires lifelong learning and supports parents, caregivers and educators as facilitators of children’s explorations.
Stepping Stones believes in providing opportunities to children that motivate them to lead fun and healthy lives.
Leela regularly volunteers at Stepping Stones where she helps children of different cultural backgrounds build stronger connections with their cultural heritage and guides them through various learning opportunities.
Homes With Hope

Homes with Hope is a Westport, CT based organization dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness in Fairfield County.
The organization provides emergency shelter for men and women, supportive housing for individuals and families, rapid re-housing, diversion services, a community kitchen, food pantry, youth development programs and mentoring. The knowledgeable and innovative staff develop individualized case management plans with sustainable solutions so that everyone that they serve can achieve and maintain an independent life.
Leela’s volunteer activity involves providing academic support to underprivileged children of different racial and ethnic backgrounds in homeless shelters. She also provides tutoring for homework sessions during their after-school sessions.
Sachi

SACHI, the Society for Art and Cultural Heritage of India, a nonprofit, educational and charitable organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sachi serves as a forum for promoting the understanding and appreciation of the richness and diversity of the art, culture and heritage of India through programs with distinguished scholars, performers and artists.
SACHI is an invaluable resource connecting community, cultural and educational institutions to further the goals of a shared interest in Indian culture and heritage.
We raised funds and donated $125 to SACHI. The funds have been allocated towards SACHI’s future programming of events, thus ensuring SACHI’s continued future success.
The Vineyard Project in New Haven

Despite strong opposition based upon race, people of color have always demonstrated strength, accomplishment, and achievement. The Vineyard Project is dedicated to amplifying the vibrant Black history and culture of Greater New Haven and eliminating racial narratives that harm the wellbeing of the Black community.
Signature projects under The Vineyard Project include: immersive learning experiences for area students; collaborating with cultural institutions to highlight and promote the experiences of New Haven families; funding community groups implementing the work of narrative change; and elevating our collective understanding of African American history and ancestors.
We raised funds and donated $140 to The Vineyard Project through The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven.
Save the Children

Organized by our Director, Vani Nidadavolu, an Indian Classical Dance fundraiser was organized at Parsons Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium in Milford, CT on June 17 2023. Leela joined several other talented dancers in showcasing the intricacies of Bharatanatyam dance and raising awareness of this art form to a packed audience of over 200 people.
The event raised over $1,000 towards supporting Save The Children, which works in the United States and around the world to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.
SAADA

SAADA aims to create a more inclusive society by giving voice to South Asian Americans through documenting, preserving, and sharing stories that represent their unique and diverse experiences.
Its archive, storytelling projects, exhibits, artistic partnerships, walking tours, lesson plans, and books reflect a community of over 6.1 million individuals and more than 250 years of history.
Through its efforts in preserving and documenting their voice in America, SAADA ensures that South Asian Americans are recognized as an essential part of the American story.

We raised $143 to help support SAADA in its mission.
